Patriots have to contend with new-look Jets

Rex Ryan is going to have to be part coach, part chemist this season. The New York Jets coach, whose team surprisingly came within a victory of the Super Bowl last season, let three locker-room fixtures go Thomas Jones, Alan Faneca and Leon Washington and made some high-profile and dicey additions, including Santonio Holmes, Antonio Cromartie, LaDainian Tomlinson and Jason Taylor.

Report: Jets sign OL Ducasse

According to SNY, the New York Jets have signed offensive lineman Vladimir Ducasse, their second-round selection in the 2010 NFL Draft. Ducasse was the 61st overall selection in the draft and will have the chance to earn the starting left guard job that was made available when veteran Alan Faneca was released during the offseason.
