The N.Y. Jets on Tuesday signed former Colorado star wide receiver Scotty McKnight to their practice squad.

McKnight was a seventh-round draft pick of the Jets. He made one reception during the preseason — a 14-yard touchdown — but was waived before the regular season.

McKnight is also a childhood friend of Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez.
