LaDainian Tomlinson and Santonio Holmes had standout performances in the New York Jets’ scrimmage for an offense that quarterback Mark Sanchez says is “big play by committee.” Coach Rex Ryan says the offense outperformed the defense in the 67-minute practice Saturday night. Tomlinson and Holmes, both major offseason pickups, were a major reason.

Holmes reports to Jets camp after supporting ill son in surgery

Still no Revis, but Holmes arrives for Jets

While star cornerback Darrelle Revis stayed away for the fourth straight day, wide receiver Santonio Holmes has joined his New York Jets teammates for training camp. Holmes was given a later reporting date of Wednesday so he could attend to “undisclosed” family issues. He wrote on his Twitter page last week that his son, who has sickle cell anemia, was in the hospital.
