Read More: David Harris (LB – NYJ), Nick Mangold (C – NYJ), LaDainian Tomlinson (RB – NYJ), Shonn Greene (RB – NYJ), New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Giants If the New York Jets are going to make the 2011 NFL playoffs, they will probably need a win in Week 14 against the Kansas City Chiefs to pad their numbers before the final three games of the season against the talented Eagles, similarly desperate Giants, and red-hot Dolphins. A slew of bumps and bruises might not help. 16 Jets appear on their Week 14 injury report, and LaDainian Tomlinson, Shonn Greene, David Harris, and Nick Mangold are among the players on the list. None of them are listed as out, a good sign, but having that many dings to deal with is definitely not a good sign. Here’s the rest of the Jets injury report for Week 14: OUT: none. DOUBTFUL: DT Mike Devito (knee). QUESTIONABLE: G Brandon Moore (hip), DE Marcus Dixon (hip), RB Joe McKnight (elbow). PROBABLE: T Vladimir Ducasse (knee), RB Shonn Greene (rib), LB David Harris (ankle), KR Jeremy Kerley (knee), CB Ellis Lankster (low back), C Nick Mangold (ankle), LB Calvin Pace (groin), LS Tanner Purdum (low back), G Matt Slauson (knee), RB LaDainian Tomlinson (knee), DE Muhammad Wilkerson (shoulder), S Eric Smith (knee). | NFL: Another late comeback for New York Jets
With the New York Jets trying to close out another too-close-for-comfort fourth-quarter comeback, coach Rex Ryan walked up to the player known as “Mayhem.” “Fourth-quarter sacks win games,” Ryan said. Linebacker Aaron Maybin then took his spot on the field and did one better. He not only sacked Rex Grossman, but also dislodged the ball from the Washington quarterback. The Jets (7-5) recovered, setting up the first of two touchdown runs by Shonn Greene that closed out the victory. Mark Sanchez led his 10th career fourth-quarter or overtime comeback victory — and his second in two weeks — highlighted by his 30-yard pass to Santonio Holmes for the go-ahead touchdown with 4:49 to play. The Redskins (4-8) have lost seven of eight. Jets 7 3 3 21–34 Washington 7 6 0 6–19 FIRST QUARTER Was — Helu 2 run (Gano kick), 10:21. NYJ — Greene 1 run (Folk kick), 1:15. | New York Jets Injury Report, Week 13: Relatively…
Read More: Mike DeVito (DE – NYJ), LaDainian Tomlinson (RB – NYJ), New York Jets, Washington Redskins The New York Jets appear relatively healthy entering a Week 13 meeting with the Washington Redskins. Defensive end Mike DeVito will miss the game with a sprained MCL, but nobody else on the Jets roster is considered doubtful or questionable. Running back LaDainian Tomlinson is expected to return to the lineup after missing the previous two games with an MCL sprain. He injured the knee during Week 10 against the New England Patriots, when Julian Edelman tackled Tomlinson in the fourth quarter. Rex Ryan said Tomlinson looked “fresh as can be” during Thursday’s practice. Running back Shonn Greene (ribs), offensive lineman Vlad Ducasse, defensive lineman Marcus Dixon (shoulder), wide receiver Jeremy Kerley (knee), offensive lineman Nick Mangold (ankle), linebacker Calvin Pace (groin), safety Brodney Pool (knee) and offensive lineman Matt Slauson (knee) are all listed as probable. The Redskins will be missing safety LaRon Landry, who’s out with a groin injury. For more Jets coverage, visit our team page, or our blog Gang Green Nation. What do you guys think about this. | New York Jets Injury Report, Week 13: Mike DeVito…
Read More: Mike DeVito (DE – NYJ), LaDainian Tomlinson (RB – NYJ), New York Jets, Washington Redskins Defensive lineman Mike DeVito was the only member of the New York Jets to miss practice on Thursday, three days before the Jets visit the Washington Redskins in NFL Week 13. DeVito is out this week with a sprained MCL. Running back LaDainian Tomlinson (knee) participated fully in practice for the second straight day. He was joined by running back Shonn Greene (ribs), defensive lineman Marcus Dixon (shoulder), wide receiver Jeremy Kerley (knee), offensive lineman Nick Mangold (ankle), linebacker Calvin Pace (groin), safety Brodney Pool (knee) and offensive lineman Matt Slauson (knee), who all practiced fully. The only Jets player who practiced on a limited basis was offensive lineman Vlad Ducasse. Defensive end Stephen Bowen, safety Laron Landry and fullback Darrel Young all missed practice on Thursday for the Redskins. London Fletcher returned to the field after missing Wednesday’s session due to an ankle injury. For more New York Jets coverage, visit our team page, or our blog Gang Green Nation. | New York Jets Injury Report: LaDainian Tomlinson…
Read More: Darrelle Revis (CB – NYJ), Brodney Pool (S – NYJ), LaDainian Tomlinson (RB – NYJ), New York Jets, Denver Broncos The New York Jets’ injury report is long, but it isn’t filled with many players who will miss Thursday’s game against the Denver Broncos. The only Jets player listed as out for the game is safety Brodney Pool. LaDainian Tomlinson remains the biggest question mark on the roster. He didn’t practice on Tuesday, but head coach Rex Ryan hasn’t officially ruled him out yet. If he travels with the team on Wednesday, he will be a game-time decision on Thursday night. Wide receiver Jeremy Kerley and Patrick Turner also failed to practice on Tuesday and former Bronco practice squad player Eron Riley could be part of the receiving corps should either be unable to go. Cornerback Darrelle Revis made an appearance on the injury list with a knee injury. Outside of Shawn Nelson, who didn’t practice on Tuesday, everyone else on the injury report either stayed at full practice or moved up to that level. For more on this game, visit our Jets blog Gang Green Nation and our Broncos blog Mile High Report. Visit SB Nation NFL for more on Week 11′s action. That’s all the news for today.
